OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The sale of lottery tickets by lottery agents under the Kerala Fiscal Responsibility Act, 2003, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which the sale of lottery tickets by lottery agents is to be regulated under the Kerala Fiscal Responsibility Act, 2003.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lottery agent carrying on the sale of lottery tickets shall make an application in Form GFR 22 to the Procurement Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sale of lottery tickets is undertaken, and the Procurement Authority shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Kerala.
