OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The storage of agricultural produce by licensees of a warehouse under the Karnataka Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation and Development) Act, 1966, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Agriculture Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the storage of agricultural produce by licensees of a warehouse is to be regulated under the Karnataka Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation and Development) Act, 1966.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a warehouse carrying on the storage of agricultural produce shall make an application in Form C to the Market Committee within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the storage of agricultural produce is undertaken, and the Market Committee shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Agriculture Department, Government of Karnataka.
