STANDING ORDER

All Registering Officers,

Subject: The running of a home stay by operators of a home stay under the Tamil Nadu Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1966, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1966 (Tamil Nadu Act 25 of 1966), the Tourism Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a home stay by operators of a home stay.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a home stay carrying on the running of a home stay shall make an application in Form II to the Museum Board within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Registering Officer shall ensure that entry ticket is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Museum Board within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
