OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The reservation of posts by employers under the reservation scheme under the Tamil Nadu Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats) Act, 1994, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Social Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the reservation of posts by employers under the reservation scheme is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats) Act, 1994.

2. The matter has been examined. Every employer under the reservation scheme carrying on the reservation of posts shall make an application in Form VII to the Government of Tamil Nadu within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the reservation of posts is undertaken, and the Government of Tamil Nadu shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
