OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The transport of hazardous substances by operators of a vehicle carrying hazardous substances under the Karnataka Forest Act, 1964, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Energy Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the transport of hazardous substances by operators of a vehicle carrying hazardous substances is to be regulated under the Karnataka Forest Act, 1964.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a vehicle carrying hazardous substances carrying on the transport of hazardous substances shall make an application in Form IV to the Central Board within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the transport of hazardous substances is undertaken, and the Central Board shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Karnataka.
