OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The import of liquor into the State by importers of liquor under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Law Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on the manner in which the import of liquor into the State by importers of liquor is to be regulated under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009.

2. The matter has been examined. Every importer of liquor carrying on the import of liquor into the State shall make an application in Form G to the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi within ten days, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the import of liquor into the State is undertaken, and the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi shall dispose of it within ten days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
