New Delhi, dated the 4th August, 2014

STANDING ORDER

All Excise Officers,

Subject: The working of a brewery by brewers under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Excise Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 10 of 2009), the Environment Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the working of a brewery by brewers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every brewer carrying on the working of a brewery shall make an application in Form B to the District Excise Officer within ten days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Excise Officer shall ensure that bottle is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Excise Officer within ten days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
