OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The sub-letting of premises by sub-tenants under the Andhra Pradesh Buildings (Lease, Rent and Eviction) Control Act, 1960, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Housing Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh on the manner in which the sub-letting of premises by sub-tenants is to be regulated under the Andhra Pradesh Buildings (Lease, Rent and Eviction) Control Act, 1960.

2. The matter has been examined. Every sub-tenant carrying on the sub-letting of premises shall make an application in Form A to the Registrar of Co-operative Housing Societies within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sub-letting of premises is undertaken, and the Registrar of Co-operative Housing Societies shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
