STANDING ORDER

To

All Waqf Officers,

Subject: The conduct of a religious fair by contractors for a religious fair under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975 (Tamil Nadu Act 27 of 1975), the Revenue Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the conduct of a religious fair by contractors for a religious fair.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for a religious fair carrying on the conduct of a religious fair shall make an application in Form F to the Registrar of Societies within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Waqf Officer shall ensure that budget is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registrar of Societies within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
