STANDING ORDER

To

All Incident Commanders,

Subject: The safety of a school building by owners of a school building under the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005 (Uttar Pradesh Act 9 of 2005), the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the safety of a school building by owners of a school building.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a school building carrying on the safety of a school building shall make an application in Form A to the State Executive Committee within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Incident Commander shall ensure that register of shelters is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Executive Committee within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
