STANDING ORDER

To

All District Collectors,

Subject: The safety of a school building by owners of a school building under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003 (Gujarat Act 20 of 2003), the Water Resources Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the safety of a school building by owners of a school building.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a school building carrying on the safety of a school building shall make an application in Form G to the National Executive Committee within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The District Collector shall ensure that installation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the National Executive Committee within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Gujarat.
