OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The holding of land in excess of the ceiling by holders of land in excess of the ceiling under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Home Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on the manner in which the holding of land in excess of the ceiling by holders of land in excess of the ceiling is to be regulated under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of land in excess of the ceiling carrying on the holding of land in excess of the ceiling shall make an application in Form 12 to the Collector within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of land in excess of the ceiling is undertaken, and the Collector shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
