STANDING ORDER
To
All Building Inspectors,
Subject: The occupation of premises by occupiers under the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1977, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1977 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1977), the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the occupation of premises by occupiers.
2. The matter has been examined. Every occupier carrying on the occupation of premises shall make an application in Form B to the Director of Municipal Administration within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.
3. The Building Inspector shall ensure that notice of demolition is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Municipal Administration within fifteen days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Karnataka.
