OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The provision of paying guest accommodation by paying guest accommodation providers under the Karnataka Apartment Ownership Act, 1972, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the provision of paying guest accommodation by paying guest accommodation providers is to be regulated under the Karnataka Apartment Ownership Act, 1972.

2. The matter has been examined. Every paying guest accommodation provider carrying on the provision of paying guest accommodation shall make an application in Form F to the Registrar of Co-operative Housing Societies within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the provision of paying guest accommodation is undertaken, and the Registrar of Co-operative Housing Societies shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Karnataka.
