STANDING ORDER

To

All Rehabilitation Officers,

Subject: The employment of persons with disabilities by establishments employing persons with disabilities under the Tamil Nadu Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats) Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats) Act, 1994 (Tamil Nadu Act 45 of 1994), the Social Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the employment of persons with disabilities by establishments employing persons with disabilities.

2. The matter has been examined. Every establishment employing persons with disabilities carrying on the employment of persons with disabilities shall make an application in Form III to the District Level Committee within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The Rehabilitation Officer shall ensure that grievance is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Level Committee within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
