STANDING ORDER

To

All Station Staff Officers,

Subject: The use of land for manoeuvres by occupiers of land used for manoeuvres under the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951 (Maharashtra Act 22 of 1951), the Home Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the use of land for manoeuvres by occupiers of land used for manoeuvres.

2. The matter has been examined. Every occupier of land used for manoeuvres carrying on the use of land for manoeuvres shall make an application in Form A to the Director-General within seven days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Station Staff Officer shall ensure that notice of manoeuvres is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director-General within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Maharashtra.
