STANDING ORDER

To

All Revenue Inspectors,

Subject: The possession of land by persons in possession of land under the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960 (Odisha Act 16 of 1960), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the possession of land by persons in possession of land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person in possession of land carrying on the possession of land shall make an application in Form 7 to the Collector within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. The Revenue Inspector shall ensure that demand notice is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Collector within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Odisha.
