OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The provision of paying guest accommodation by paying guest accommodation providers under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh on the manner in which the provision of paying guest accommodation by paying guest accommodation providers is to be regulated under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972.

2. The matter has been examined. Every paying guest accommodation provider carrying on the provision of paying guest accommodation shall make an application in Form C to the Adjudicating Officer within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the provision of paying guest accommodation is undertaken, and the Adjudicating Officer shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
