STANDING ORDER

To

All District Collectors,

Subject: The operation of a hazardous installation by owners of a hazardous installation under the Karnataka Fire Force Act, 1964, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Fire Force Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 28 of 1964), the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a hazardous installation by owners of a hazardous installation.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a hazardous installation carrying on the operation of a hazardous installation shall make an application in Form A to the State Executive Committee within three days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The District Collector shall ensure that evacuation plan is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Executive Committee within three days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Karnataka.
