OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The running of licensed premises by licensees under the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1972, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Energy Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the running of licensed premises by licensees is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1972.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee carrying on the running of licensed premises shall make an application in Form A to the Municipal Council within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of licensed premises is undertaken, and the Municipal Council shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
