OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The supply of goods to the Government by registered suppliers under the Tamil Nadu Transparency in Tenders Act, 1998, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the supply of goods to the Government by registered suppliers is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Transparency in Tenders Act, 1998.

2. The matter has been examined. Every registered supplier carrying on the supply of goods to the Government shall make an application in Form GFR 25 to the Accountant General within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the supply of goods to the Government is undertaken, and the Accountant General shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
