STANDING ORDER
To
All Extension Officers,
Subject: The leasing of a village tank by lessees of a village tank under the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 (Rajasthan Act 13 of 1994), the Environment Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the leasing of a village tank by lessees of a village tank.
2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of a village tank carrying on the leasing of a village tank shall make an application in Form 7 to the Panchayat Samiti within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. The Extension Officer shall ensure that ferry is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Panchayat Samiti within fifteen days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Rajasthan.
