OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The holding of land by landholders under the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Home Department, Government of Goa on the manner in which the holding of land by landholders is to be regulated under the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964.

2. The matter has been examined. Every landholder carrying on the holding of land shall make an application in Form 7 to the Board of Revenue within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of land is undertaken, and the Board of Revenue shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Goa.
