STANDING ORDER
To
All Canal Officers,
Subject: The sinking of a tube well by owners of a tube well under the Maharashtra Water Resources Regulatory Authority Act, 2005, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Water Resources Regulatory Authority Act, 2005 (Maharashtra Act 18 of 2005), the Law Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the sinking of a tube well by owners of a tube well.
2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a tube well carrying on the sinking of a tube well shall make an application in Form G to the Government of Maharashtra within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.
3. The Canal Officer shall ensure that reservoir is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Maharashtra within fifteen days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Maharashtra.
