STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistant Rent Controllers,

Subject: The provision of paying guest accommodation by paying guest accommodation providers under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972 (Uttar Pradesh Act 13 of 1972), the Education Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the provision of paying guest accommodation by paying guest accommodation providers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every paying guest accommodation provider carrying on the provision of paying guest accommodation shall make an application in Form C to the Rent Authority within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Assistant Rent Controller shall ensure that rent receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Rent Authority within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Education Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
