STANDING ORDER

All Panchayat Development Officers,

Subject: The keeping of a cattle pound by owners of a cattle pound under the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 (Rajasthan Act 13 of 1994), the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the keeping of a cattle pound by owners of a cattle pound.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a cattle pound carrying on the keeping of a cattle pound shall make an application in Form 4 to the Block Development Officer within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Panchayat Development Officer shall ensure that market is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Block Development Officer within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Rajasthan.
