STANDING ORDER
To
All Assessors,
Subject: The occupation of premises by occupiers under the Karnataka Town and Country Planning Act, 1963, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Town and Country Planning Act, 1963 (Karnataka Act 11 of 1963), the Ports Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the occupation of premises by occupiers.
2. The matter has been examined. Every occupier carrying on the occupation of premises shall make an application in Form A to the Corporation within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.
3. The Assessor shall ensure that building is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Corporation within forty-five days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Ports Department, Government of Karnataka.
