OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The certification of construction by architect certifying a projects under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh on the manner in which the certification of construction by architect certifying a projects is to be regulated under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972.

2. The matter has been examined. Every architect certifying a project carrying on the certification of construction shall make an application in Form E to the Rent Authority within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the certification of construction is undertaken, and the Rent Authority shall dispose of it within one hundred and eighty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
