OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The receipt of benefits as a nominee by nominees of an insured person under the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the receipt of benefits as a nominee by nominees of an insured person is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982.

2. The matter has been examined. Every nominee of an insured person carrying on the receipt of benefits as a nominee shall make an application in Form 16 to the Corporation within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the receipt of benefits as a nominee is undertaken, and the Corporation shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
