STANDING ORDER
To
All Canal Officers,
Subject: The use of water for industry by users of water for industry under the Kerala Ground Water (Control and Regulation) Act, 2002, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Ground Water (Control and Regulation) Act, 2002 (Kerala Act 19 of 2002), the Social Welfare Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the use of water for industry by users of water for industry.
2. The matter has been examined. Every user of water for industry carrying on the use of water for industry shall make an application in Form G to the Dam Safety Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.
3. The Canal Officer shall ensure that reservoir is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Dam Safety Authority within seven days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Kerala.
