STANDING ORDER

All Scientific Officers,

Subject: The working of a brick kiln by owners of a brick kiln under the Kerala Forest Act, 1961, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Forest Act, 1961 (Kerala Act 4 of 1961), the Labour Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the working of a brick kiln by owners of a brick kiln.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a brick kiln carrying on the working of a brick kiln shall make an application in Form I to the Government of Kerala within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Scientific Officer shall ensure that consent is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Kerala within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Kerala.
