OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Service as a civil defence volunteer by civil defence volunteers under the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the General Administration Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh on the manner in which service as a civil defence volunteer by civil defence volunteers is to be regulated under the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005.

2. The matter has been examined. Every civil defence volunteer carrying on service as a civil defence volunteer shall make an application in Form E to the State Authority within three days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which service as a civil defence volunteer is undertaken, and the State Authority shall dispose of it within three days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
