OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The storage of explosives by licensees of an explosives magazine under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the storage of explosives by licensees of an explosives magazine is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of an explosives magazine carrying on the storage of explosives shall make an application in Form IV to the Government of Tamil Nadu within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the storage of explosives is undertaken, and the Government of Tamil Nadu shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
