STANDING ORDER
To
All Surveyors,
Subject: The pilotage of vessels by pilots of a port under the Gujarat Maritime Board Act, 1981, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Maritime Board Act, 1981 (Gujarat Act 30 of 1981), the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the pilotage of vessels by pilots of a port.
2. The matter has been examined. Every pilot of a port carrying on the pilotage of vessels shall make an application in Form 2 to the Conservator of the Port within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.
3. The Surveyor shall ensure that certificate of registry is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Conservator of the Port within fourteen days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Gujarat.
