OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The service of process by process servers under the Uttar Pradesh Civil Laws (Reforms and Amendment) Act, 1954, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Labour Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh on the manner in which the service of process by process servers is to be regulated under the Uttar Pradesh Civil Laws (Reforms and Amendment) Act, 1954.

2. The matter has been examined. Every process server carrying on the service of process shall make an application in Form H to the Taxing Officer within seven days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the service of process is undertaken, and the Taxing Officer shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
