OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry under the Delhi Jal Board Act, 1998, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on the manner in which the operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry is to be regulated under the Delhi Jal Board Act, 1998.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a ferry carrying on the operation of a ferry shall make an application in Form A to the Ground Water Authority within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a ferry is undertaken, and the Ground Water Authority shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
