STANDING ORDER

To

All Gram Sevaks,

Subject: The operation of a rural water supply scheme by operators of a rural water supply scheme under the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947 (Uttar Pradesh Act 26 of 1947), the Transport Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a rural water supply scheme by operators of a rural water supply scheme.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a rural water supply scheme carrying on the operation of a rural water supply scheme shall make an application in Form 5 to the District Collector within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Gram Sevak shall ensure that market is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Collector within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
