OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The business of a co-operative society by co-operative societies under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Punjab on the manner in which the business of a co-operative society by co-operative societies is to be regulated under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961.

2. The matter has been examined. Every co-operative society carrying on the business of a co-operative society shall make an application in Form G to the Market Committee within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the business of a co-operative society is undertaken, and the Market Committee shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Punjab.
