OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The issue of bills of exchange and promissory notes by banker issuing instruments under the Rajasthan Stamp Act, 1999, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Transport Department, Government of Rajasthan on the manner in which the issue of bills of exchange and promissory notes by banker issuing instruments is to be regulated under the Rajasthan Stamp Act, 1999.

2. The matter has been examined. Every banker issuing instruments carrying on the issue of bills of exchange and promissory notes shall make an application in Form A to the State Government within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the issue of bills of exchange and promissory notes is undertaken, and the State Government shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Rajasthan.
