STANDING ORDER
To
All Excise Officers,
Subject: The working of a winery by licensees of a winery under the West Bengal Excise Act, 1909, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the West Bengal Excise Act, 1909 (West Bengal Act 5 of 1909), the Excise Department, Government of West Bengal hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the working of a winery by licensees of a winery.
2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a winery carrying on the working of a winery shall make an application in Form H to the Deputy Commissioner of Excise within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. The Excise Officer shall ensure that transport pass is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Deputy Commissioner of Excise within sixty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Excise Department, Government of West Bengal.
