OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The holding of an inam by inamdars under the Himachal Pradesh Tenancy and Land Reforms Act, 1974, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Himachal Pradesh on the manner in which the holding of an inam by inamdars is to be regulated under the Himachal Pradesh Tenancy and Land Reforms Act, 1974.

2. The matter has been examined. Every inamdar carrying on the holding of an inam shall make an application in Form 14 to the Tahsildar within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of an inam is undertaken, and the Tahsildar shall dispose of it within one hundred and eighty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Himachal Pradesh.
