OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The running of an observation home by observation homes under the Goa Children's Act, 2003, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Environment Department, Government of Goa on the manner in which the running of an observation home by observation homes is to be regulated under the Goa Children's Act, 2003.

2. The matter has been examined. Every observation home carrying on the running of an observation home shall make an application in Form I to the Child Welfare Committee within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of an observation home is undertaken, and the Child Welfare Committee shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Goa.
