STANDING ORDER
To
All Deputy Tahsildars,
Subject: The holding of an inam by inamdars under the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959 (Odisha Act 3 of 1959), the Transport Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of an inam by inamdars.
2. The matter has been examined. Every inamdar carrying on the holding of an inam shall make an application in Form 12 to the Land Tribunal within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.
3. The Deputy Tahsildar shall ensure that mutation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Land Tribunal within one hundred and eighty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Odisha.
