STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Press Registrars,

Subject: The transmission of programmes by cable by cable operators under the Andhra Pradesh Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1955, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1955 (Andhra Pradesh Act 4 of 1955), the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the transmission of programmes by cable by cable operators.

2. The matter has been examined. Every cable operator carrying on the transmission of programmes by cable shall make an application in Form VIII to the Broadcasting Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Press Registrar shall ensure that periodical is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Broadcasting Authority within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
