GOVERNMENT OF THE NATIONAL CAPITAL TERRITORY OF DELHI

New Delhi, dated the 14th May, 2006

STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Tahsildars,

Subject: The survey of land by licensed surveyors under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954 (Delhi Act 8 of 1954), the Finance Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the survey of land by licensed surveyors.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensed surveyor carrying on the survey of land shall make an application in Form 14 to the Tahsildar within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Tahsildar shall ensure that patta is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Tahsildar within one hundred and eighty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
