STANDING ORDER

To

All Building Inspectors,

Subject: The connection of a private drain to the municipal sewer by owners of a private drain under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development Act, 1973, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development Act, 1973 (Uttar Pradesh Act 11 of 1973), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the connection of a private drain to the municipal sewer by owners of a private drain.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a private drain carrying on the connection of a private drain to the municipal sewer shall make an application in Form B to the Standing Committee within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand five hundred rupees.

3. The Building Inspector shall ensure that hoarding is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Standing Committee within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
