OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The survey of land by licensed surveyors under the Puducherry Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1973, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Puducherry on the manner in which the survey of land by licensed surveyors is to be regulated under the Puducherry Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1973.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensed surveyor carrying on the survey of land shall make an application in Form 14 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the survey of land is undertaken, and the Revenue Divisional Officer shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Puducherry.
