STANDING ORDER

All Adjutants,

Subject: The holding of defence land on lease by lessees of defence land under the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act, 2002, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act, 2002 (Karnataka Act 1 of 2002), the Information Technology Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of defence land on lease by lessees of defence land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of defence land carrying on the holding of defence land on lease shall make an application in Form B to the Government of Karnataka within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Adjutant shall ensure that defence work is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Karnataka within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Karnataka.
