OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The registration of instruments by registering officers under the Rajasthan Stamp Act, 1999, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Rajasthan on the manner in which the registration of instruments by registering officers is to be regulated under the Rajasthan Stamp Act, 1999.

2. The matter has been examined. Every registering officer carrying on the registration of instruments shall make an application in Form A to the Collector within six months, accompanied by a fee of five rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the registration of instruments is undertaken, and the Collector shall dispose of it within six months of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Rajasthan.
