OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The manufacture of drugs by manufacturers under the Tamil Nadu Private Clinical Establishments (Regulation) Act, 1997, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the manufacture of drugs by manufacturers is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Private Clinical Establishments (Regulation) Act, 1997.
2. The matter has been examined. Every manufacturer carrying on the manufacture of drugs shall make an application in Form 20 to the Drugs Controller within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the manufacture of drugs is undertaken, and the Drugs Controller shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
